I gave bigtoysdirect.com 4 stars because I was able to find the shipping and return info without digging all over the site. That’s something I notice, because some stores make you hunt for the basic stuff.
A few parts could probably be written a little more clearly, especially the timing around returns, if that makes sense. But I still understood the main points without feeling like I needed to contact support.

Overall, I felt comfortable enough before placing an order. It wasn’t perfect, but compared to a lot of sites I’ve used, the policies were straightforward.

The toy itself was fine, and my kid actually liked it, which is why I was extra annoyed when we needed a couple replacement parts. I’m used to this kind of thing being simple, but a few parts were out of stock and I didn’t really get clear updates on when they’d be available. It turned a quick fix into a much longer wait than it should have been. Not a total disaster, but definitely frustrating.

Checkout was straightforward overall, and I liked having a few different ways to pay. I went with the financing option since the total was around a few hundred bucks, so splitting it up made the order easier to justify.

The only thing is the approval part felt like it took maybe 10 or 15 minutes longer than I expected, and I wish the terms were clearer earlier in the process. It wasn’t a bad experience, just not quite as smooth as it could’ve been.

The toy works fine and feels mostly safe, so that’s a plus. But wow, the performance is slower than I expected, because apparently patience is part of the package. Setup also took longer than it should have, which was a fun little bonus. Overall, it does the job, just not exactly quickly

I appreciated that bigtoysdirect.com was upfront about the prices. The shipping and extra fees weren’t buried somewhere weird, which made it easier for me to decide without going back and forth too much. I did still have to double-check a couple things, so... not totally perfect, but overall it was simple enough to understand.
